Tavi Gevinson has a fashion blog. It's good. Well, to be frank, it's really really good.She began her blog in 2008, when she was 11 years old, and the story goes that her parents didn't really know what Tavi was doing, until one day she had to ask her parent's permission to appear in a New York Times article. Since then, she has been featured in Teen, French, and Italian Vogue. Her head has popped up on the cover of Pop Magazine, and she is invited to fashion shows all over the world.Oh yeah, did I tell you that she's only 14 years old? Yup. Pretty impressive, huh? Everyone in the fashion industry knows who she is. All because she started a blog! (A really really good blog!!)
Despite her fame, she started high school last year, and is a typical teen in a lot of ways. She blogs about life, style, music, and all things girly just like most teen fashion bloggers.The big difference is how she thinks and blogs about things. Her take on life is so sophisticated and also somewhat childish and fun. She is a wonderful girl, and every time I read her blog it puts a smile on my face.
